Swift Transportation began operations in 1966 transporting imported steel through the ports of Los Angeles to Arizona, and Arizona cotton for export back through to Southern California. Now, 46 years later, the company operates the nation's largest truckload fleet by incorporating strong core values with the most comprehensive terminal network in the industry. The fleet travels more than six million miles every day and is committed to safety, service and damage-free delivery.

Swift offers long-haul, short-haul, door-to-door, expedited team and intermodal service. It operates a fleet of more than 15,000 tractors, 50,000 trailers and 8,700 containers through a decentralized operations network. In addition, Swift Transportation also operates and maintains one of the largest temperature-controlled fleets in the industry, which the company says is capable of carrying almost any type of temperature-sensitive product for delivery to nearly anywhere in North America.
