Johnson Refrigerated Truck Bodies Showcases New Standard Product Offering at the 2013 Mid-America Trucking Show
Featuring the Latest Temperature-controlled Insulated Composite Truck Body Line-up
For Fleet Operators
LOUISVILLE, KY - (March 21-23, 2013) Johnson Refrigerated Truck Bodies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Great Dane, will co-exhibit with its parent company in booth #34075 at the 2013 Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky. The 81-year-old Johnson brand, known for durability and customization, will introduce a new standard product mix to the trucking industry at the tradeshow.
Johnson's 2013 product branding focuses on four standard base models that are pre-engineered, cost-efficient and lighter in weight than ever before. With a wide range of custom options including emission-free all-electric refrigeration, each model can be further enhanced for a variety of markets.
The company's signature polar bear logo inspired its truck body names, including model lines known as the Blizzard, Guardian, Cadet and Majestic. Reminiscent of the polar bear, the models offer strength, durability, thermal efficiency, and the ability to withstand extreme temperatures.
Johnson's most popular truck body, because of its versatility in many markets, allows for design modifications to accommodate the customer's loading preferences while maintaining excellent structural integrity and thermal efficiency. The Blizzard features a smooth white fiberglass exterior and is designed to keep products fresh during transport at fresh, frozen and deep frozen temperatures.
Often called the reach-in because it is loaded and unloaded by hand. The Guardian has product compartment doors on each side of the body, and features low ground-to-floor height for drivers to quickly and safely identify and access products. The Guardian body, which fits on a lighter chassis to help reduce operating costs, provides protection for both fresh and frozen product delivery.
The Cadet is Johnson's smallest fiberglass composite temperature-controlled truck body. This 8-foot model with its rear access door is engineered to easily fit in a heavy-duty 3/4 or 1-ton pick-up truck depending on the cargo requirements. The Cadet is the perfect option for small loads, shorter delivery routes, and is designed for fresh and frozen product applications in a variety of markets.
Johnson's insulated composite specialty trailer, available in lengths up to 36-feet, is designed for food products, beverages, keg beer, temperature controlled medical supplies, animal transport, special events and more. The Majestic is available with up to three temperature zones.
Johnson's display equipment includes a 21' medium temperature BlizzardLT truck body with a Thermo King unit, designed for fluid milk distribution, a 13'6" GuardianLT truck body mounted on an Isuzu EcoMax truck chassis for maximum fuel efficiency and payload, and an 8' Cadet truck body with Johnson's AE Series All-Electric Refrigeration for frozen product delivery. The Cadet is mounted on a heavy duty ¾ ton Dodge RAM 4-wheel drive crew cab long box pick-up truck and is for sale and available for immediate delivery.
