Great Dane Unveils its First Mobile App at MATS 2013

(March 20, 2013) Attendees at the 2013 Mid-America Trucking Show will have the first look at Great Dane's new mobile app, which will be on display in the company's Booth #34075, March 21-23 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky.

Great Dane's Innovation Experience at MATS 2013 will feature a display with an Apple® iPad™ and a Samsung® Galaxy Tab™ Android® tablet, enabling visitors to get hands-on practice of how the company's new mobile app can be used. The app will launch on Thursday, March 21, and will be available to download for free from the Apple App Store and the Android Market. Among other features, the initial version of the app will enable users to easily locate and access their nearest Great Dane branch, dealer or authorized parts and service facility, with location-specific phone numbers, hours of operation and GPS-enabled mapping.

The functionalities of Great Dane's mobile app will also include the ability to access to the company's AdvantEDGE national fleet services network, which includes Emergency Road Service (ERS) in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Other features include information on upcoming company events, product information, and helpful links to company literature and social media sites, all at the touch of a finger.

"Hundreds of thousands of Great Dane trailers are being hauled all over the Western Hemisphere," said Brandie Fuller, VP of Marketing at Great Dane. "That's why it's important for us to utilize the latest available technology and tools to connect with our customers, making sure they have access to our products and services 24/7, whether they're in busy metro areas or in the middle of nowhere."
