Custom Trailers and Dolly Highlight Versatility for Diverse Customer Applications

NASHVILLE, TN. - (March 13, 2014) Great Dane is proud to present a variety of innovative trailer products and innovations in booths #761 and #1061 at the Technology and Maintenance Council 2014 Annual Meeting and Transportation Technology Exhibition. The event is being held at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee from March 10-13.

Great Dane continues to move forward with product refinements and trailer innovations that are raising the bar for quality, service and long-term value. Featured in the company's TMC booth this year are:

A 48' Champion CP composite plate dry van custom built for SAIA Motor Freight of Houma, Louisiana. In addition to standard features such as the Stemco® Platinum Performance Plus wheel-end system and Grote®'s Long- Life 100% LED Lighting System, the TMC SAIA show trailer features a stainless steel rear frame; 2-row cargo track; 18" hardwood scuffbands coated with Prolam® WaxIn™ protective coating; and Prolam hardwood flooring with protective coatings including WaxIn100™ full-length top-coating and full-length PUR™ polyurethane undercoating for superior moisture barrier protection underneath the trailer floor.

A 28' Champion SE dry van custom built for AAA Cooper Transportation of Dothan, Alabama. This compact trailer is designed and constructed to provide the extra strength, flexibility and durability AAA-Cooper requires for its broad range of shipping services. In addition to the Champion Series' wide range of standard features, the AAA Cooper show trailer also features a Whiting plastic-faced roll-up rear door; a pintle hook; heavy-duty wood scuffbands (12" sidewalls; 24" front wall); Great Dane's exclusive SSL front wall lining; and Great Dane's Double Dex fully recessed and captive decking system, with steel decking panels.

A 28' Champion SE dry van custom built for Southeastern Freight of Columbia, South Carolina. This hard-wording pup was built for carpet hauls and features 12" post spacing; stainless steel rear frame with a Whiting premium ½" composite plate roll-up door; 30" x .200" PunctureGuard scuffbands; composite front wall panels; 12" hardwood front wall scuffband coated with Prolam WaxIn sealant; PuntureGuard .100" side lining; Prolam WaxIn 100 full-length floor coating and Prolam PUR protective floor undercoating; and a Meritor PSI Tire Inflation System.

A Great Dane single-axle converter dolly which features I-Beam construction for increased strength; Bendix 2S/1M TBS6 ABS brake system; Hutchens H9700 3-Leaf Spring Suspension; Meritor PSI Tire Inflation System; a bolt-on Holland drawbar tongue assembly and a Great Dane counter balance. The fully customizable dolly was assembled at Great Dane's Kewanee, IL plant, which recently added a new dolly assembly line as part of a multi-million-dollar capital expansion.
