Great Dane Names Director of Quality Assurance

SAVANNAH, GA – (August 3, 2012) Great Dane is pleased to announce the addition of Robert Maharrey as Great Dane's new Director of Quality Assurance. Over the coming months, Maharrey will work with Great Dane's long-time quality director, Ron Gordy, and will assume responsibility for the company's quality programs following Gordy's retirement later this year. In his new role, Maharrey will direct and manage the quality assurance activities across all Great Dane plants, ensuring that production is consistent with established quality standards.

Maharrey has over 20 years of industry experience in engineering and operations management, including 14 years with Lufkin holding a variety of positions, such as chief engineer, general manager of the trailer division, manager of process innovation and business development and plant manager. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson University, a master's degree in mechanical engineering from University of South Carolina and a master's degree in business administration from Stephen F. Austin State University.
